Hotel Description In 2000, I carried a 10kg camera from Taiwan to northern Thailand to film the local mountain tribes. When researching the remote mountains I found tribes which still lived in traditional houses on the banks of a mountain at the top of the hill I climbed, The distant river and mountains shimmered in the harsh sunlight.
In the valleys I saw traditionally dressed women carrying firewood and leading buffalo to homes with dark wood smoke spiraling to the sky. This simple and tranquil scene affected me deeply. I vowed one day to return and open a resort here.
From Chiang Rai: take public long tail boat near Rimkok resort at 10:00am in the boat pier. It takes 250 baht per person. We can arrange a car to pick you up in Chiang Rai city or airport. It is 1500 baht per car.
From Chiang Mai: take a bus to Tha Ton, and take a public long tail boat at 12:30pm in the boat pier. It is about 100 baht per person. If you can’t arrive in Tha Ton before 12:30pm, you can take a taxi. It is 500 baht per car to the resort.

Room Description At the resort you can immerse yourself in nature while enjoying comfort and luxury. The bungalows have traditional bamboo construction with straw roofs. They are perfectly adapted for the climate. They remain cool in summer and warm in winter. At dusk you will be lulled to sleep by the relaxing sounds of flowing water and singing insects. You will be awoken at dawn by the sounds of singing birds, crowing cocks and the sound of rice being pounded far away in the villages. It is so enjoyable to stay here over the night.
